MERCY SHIPS
Mercy ships is a charitable organisation whose aim is to provide medical aid to the poorer areas of Africa, taking medical facilities to the people in the form of a converted car ferry. The ship is now a state-of-the-art hospital ship with wards and operating theatres and mobile medical support vehicles that venture out adminstering to the population.
The club nominated Mercy Ships as a nominated Charity in 2007 and fund raising included a member completing the London Marathon. Full details of this charity can be found on www.mercyships.org.uk
