Sports events
We take on all-comers from various Rotary Clubs in all manner of sports........
- Darts
- Boules
- Skittles
- And have been known to progress beyond the first round, and even into the District finals! We're not that good but I could name the odd person who thinks they are..........!!
We also have our own summer events such as golf , slot-car racing, go-karting, archery and bowls. Here are a few photos of our recent members' events.
GOLF
BOULES
In September we made the final of the District Boules competition. After winning the quarter final 5-0 and the semi final 3-2 we were up against last year's winners Bournemouth North. After leading 2-1 we finally went down by 3-2 . "Gutted" and "sick as a parrot" are phrases that spring to mind. You will see from the photos we had a fine body of men so this made it all the more disappointing!
