SOUTHWICK BREWHOUSE VISIT

We recently paid a visit to Southwick Brewhouse which sits behind the Golden Lion in Southwick village and whose origins can be traced back to the 17th century.

It was a working brewery up to 1957 and today is a very interesting combination of a museum retaining most of the features of the old brewery and retail premises, where an amazing array of beers and cider is sold, brewed offsite these days but using  local ingredients.

AItogether it was a very interesting trip and afterwards (not to waste the day!)  we visited the local Red Lion in Southwick for lunch.

If you like the idea of visiting them yourselves, here is the link to the website to find out more
